This 1996 Martin D-M Dreadnought acoustic was included and sold in the ‘Property From The Collection of Neil Young” auction at Julien’s Auctions on December 9, 2017. It features on page 159, lot number 335 and under the description:

“Neil Young Martin Guitar

A 1996 Martin D_M Dreadnought “Official Neil Young Tour” acoustic guitar, serial number 585126, in mahogany, comes with a hardshell case.”

The Martin D-M has remained un-played since it was purchased from the Neil Young collection. It still has exactly the same strings, finger prints, sweat, fingerboard dirt and playwear from the day it was handed over by the man himself.

If you’re a collector of rock star instruments and fancy an exceedingly worthy addition to your collection, this could well be for you. This is also a no-brainer grade investment piece.
