Here is a stunning 1957 Gretsch 6128 Cadillac Green Duo Jet with perfectly matched gold hardware and factory original gold arm-rest. Complete with its original case makes this one the ultimate collector grade piece.

This special Gretsch comes out of the 1957 batch that featured Cadillac Green Duo Jets with gold hardware and arm-rests. Our Silver Jet that we currently have for sale also comes from the same batch and has a serial number very close to this Cadillac Green example.

The Gretsch is without doubt one of the finest examples you’ll ever find. It is completely stock original and in stunning condition. As always we will let the photos do most of the talking in terms of its condition. Check how stunning the gold hardware is against Cadillac Green! There are absolutely no issues whatsoever in terms of playability, the neck angle is perfect, as is the action. There is a life-time of movement left on the bridge. This is as good as it will ever get.

There is minor shrinkage to the humpback inlays which is very normal, few slight paint chips to the body edges and some slight worming to the back of the body. There is nothing else to report. This piece is 100% original and free from any issues.

What makes this one even cooler is that it previously used to hang on the walls of the Songbird Museum in the USA. We are not done there; it also features in the book by Ed Ball 'Ball's Manual of Gretsch Guitars 1950's.' Does it get any better?
