1955 Gretsch Round-Up 6130

1955 Gretsch Round-Up 6130

Welcome to JTKM SUDIO.

Here is a true piece of history which will interest Gretsch collectors and players alike; a stunning 1955 Mahogany Gretsch Round-Up complete with its original and beautiful tweed case.

Once again we shall let the photos to the talking.  You’re looking at a one owner, uncirculated 1955 Gretsch Round-up freshly presented to the vintage guitar market for the first time.  This one is free from the usual Gretsch syndrome of rotten binding, re-set neck or poor break angles.  This stunning Gretsch plays, sounds and feels wonderful and needs nothing.  This piece is very similar to the Gretsch Round-up which recently featured in the Vintage Guitar Magazine.

Equipped a pair of incredible sounding and well-balanced single-coil DeArmond pickups, a chambered mahogany body and FULL western features.  Hello cows, hello cacti, hello G brand and a warm welcome to the engraved leather detail.  A truly stunning piece of history!

The Round-up is in wonderful condition, especially given its age.  There have only been two alterations in its life-time, that being the pickguard being replaced and two parts of the G string tuner have been replaced (and one of the screws).  Both of these alterations can be sourced online, in fact there is a full set of gold tuners are on Reverb right now in the USA for around £100.  Aside from that you’re looking at a 100% original and clean Gretsch.

There you have it, a truly wonderful and very rare Gretsch which is very hard to put down.  It’s even harder to stop looking at it!
